ok I write random stuffs, but my friends say they are poems I don't really know I just know they probaly aren't short stories cause if I try to write a short story it ends up long . Well i should stop talking and show the poem/shortstory?

Here is the one I think is a short story I'm not really sure: In a single celled room sits a black winged angel. her head is in her hands and water drips from them. She looks up randomly and starts reaching for the sky as if somebody is there to help her. She grabs the air with her other hand blood drips from it. the room suddenly becomes bright as she seems to be pulling something. The light hits her wings changing them from black to white. instead of a sad emotionless face she has an elgant smile on. She walks toward the light she starts to run. She quickly starts to lose the light her wings start to fade. Suddenly she trips her wings turn fully black tears stream from her face,

Ok now if I can fit this one in: don't love you for your race,
Or your height,
Or your skin color,
I don't love you for how you look,
I love you for the way you are.

Now I have a question is the first one a poem like my friends say or a short story?

Oh also for the second one have i heard that somewhere bnefore or was that just a really random thing?

I think that the first one was a short story ^^ For the second one I'm not really sure...

I think its too short to be a story really.
To be honest poems are quite diverse in the way they can be written. It could be counted as a poem though it's not really separated enough in the different lines at the moment to be honest. I'm guessing that it'd be at every full stop, maybe two stanzas as well actually.
I personally only write the more flowing stuff, but then my poetry tends to be unfinished songs.

i agree that the first one is kinda like a short story

the second could be considered a poem
